AU offers qualified students the opportunity to earn both undergraduate and graduate degrees, in a continuous plan of study, through accelerated bachelor’s/master’s programs.

The DHS combined bachelor’s/master’s program enables students who wish to continue their studies at the next academic level to earn a in Public Health bachelor’s degree and an MS in Biostatistics, Nutrition Education, or Health Promotion Management in 5-years.

Public Health Scholars in the accelerated 3-year bachelor’s program may earn both degrees in 4-years. Health Promotion majors may also earn their MS in Health Promotion Management through this program.

Public Health majors with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher will be eligible to apply after they have earned 75 academic credits and before completing 90 credits. Students accepted in the combined bachelor's/master's program may share credits between their bachelor's and master's degrees. Students are not required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) for acceptance in the program.
 

MS Degree Options

MS in Statistics: Biostatistics (30 credits)

Undergraduate students may share up to 9 credit hours of approved graduate-level coursework to satisfy the requirements of both degrees.

MS in Health Promotion Management (30 credits)

Undergraduate students may apply up to 9 credit hours of approved graduate-level coursework to satisfy the requirements of both degrees.

MS in Nutrition Education (30 credits, online)

Undergraduate students may apply up to 9 credit hours of approved graduate-level coursework to satisfy the requirements of both degrees.
